Serving the needs of our Community
Welcome to the official website for the City of Park City, Ky. We are so proud to provide essential Government Services for our Community! A little about us; Park City is a home rule-class city in Barren County, Ky, as of 2025 the population is approximately 625. Park City is classified as a small city (roughly 1.5 square miles) and serves as a quiet, charming, residential area known historically as the entrance to Mammoth Cave and Diamond Caverns. The Park City Exit 48 off I-65, is the only direct access exit to Mammoth Cave National Park. Originally known as Three Forks, then Bell's Station, it was the site of Bell's Tavern, which operated until about 1860. When a spur from the Louisville and Nashville Railroad was opened to Glasgow after 1859 the site became known as Glasgow Junction. The Three Forks post office opened in 1827, our community was renamed Glasgow Junction, which was incorporated in 1871, our name was changed to Park City in 1938 due to our close proximity to the park. We are a certified Ky Trail Town, home to Bell's Tavern Park, the 1860 Bell's Tavern ruins (which are still standing), historic Bells cemetery, Evergreen cemetery, Veterans Memorial area, pocket parks, city-wide walking and biking trails and are the Trail Head for the Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail, established in 2007. We hope you come to visit us soon!
